We supplement NHS funding at St George's to enhance the Hospital's services

Story

In 2016 my mum suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain which changed her life dramatically as well as my family’s.

This year marks my mum’s 5th year anniversary as a survivor of this terrible condition. I would like to raise money for the Neuro Intensive Care Unit and Neurorehabilitation centre through the means of a charity event.

This will help the hospital with critical equipment, vital training for specialist doctors, nurses and therapists who helped and cared for my mum in her time of need. Without their critical help she would not be here today.

The St George’s Hospital Charity is an established charity who have been providing care for seriously ill patients with conditions like head and spinal injuries, haemorrhages, strokes, brain tumours, infections and other diseases of the nervous system.

I plan to complete my own type of triathlon which consists of:

  1. Tab/Loaded March 3.1 miles carrying 15kg.
  2. Indoor Cycle 20 miles.
  3. Run 3.1 miles.

Daily distance will be 26.2 miles(A Marathon) every day for 26 days. I will cover 681.2 miles in total by myself

The event will run every day from Monday 1st March 2021 till Friday 26th March 2021. Follow me on JustGiving, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Strava to check out my progress.

£400 is my minimum target but would love to raise more. Please dig deep into your pockets and help with donations and if you could gift aid too, that would be amazing.

All donations will be greatly appreciated by the charity, myself and my family.

Kind regards

Lee
