Lee Faulkner is raising money for Fleet Phoenix
Story
On September 18th 2007 my life changed forever...
I had earlier that day passed my driving test, however, later that day I was driving back from a football training session with three friends in the car when we were involved in a fatal collision with another vehicle. I had no memory of even leaving the car park that day and woke up in hospital to hear this absolutely devastating news.
After I left the hospital I was assigned two youth workers; Charlotte Tickner and Andrew Binnersley, from Fleet Phoenix to help me get through this trauma. I was just about to turn 18 and had no idea how to deal with the emotions I was going through. I found it difficult to talk to anyone around me and would lash out at anyone who would try.
With their time, commitment and dedication, Charlotte and Andrew made breakthroughs with me and ultimately saved my life. I am eternally grateful for what they did for me. I am only one example of the many young people they have saved. This team offers more than just someone to talk to when you are feeling down or someone to grab a coffee with when you want to talk and get something off your chest. They become your family. The love and care they show for each individual is incredible.
In aid of Fleet Phoenix, I will be doing a skydive on Sunday 21st May to raise money and give back to this great charity. Any donation would be massively appreciated!
