Event: Tour of the TAP, from 13 September 2023 to 22 September 2023
Cure Leukaemia is excited to introduce our newest cycling event to our portfolio - the Tour of the TAP. The event will see 15 keen cyclists tackling over 1,000 miles across Britain in 10 days.

Story

Personally, I have been touched by cancer, with my wife's - Lis -  own diagnosis , a life changing experience for her, an eye opener for me and I have the desire to give back to a cancer-based charity to help save lives. Recently I went to a Cure Leukaemia event and was humbled by those people fighting this disease, the survivors and the families working hard to raise awareness.

Watching the effort of the Cure Leukaemia Team completing challenges in order to raise valuable funds for research inspired me to take part in one of these challenges myself.

In September 2023, I will be joining Cure Leukaemia's Tour of the TAP (Trials Acceleration Programme) which is a 10-day, 1000-mile cycling challenge across the UK, visiting these centres.

My target is to raise £5000, which I know will make a huge impact on saving lives. All funds raised will be invested directly into the Cure Leukaemia TAP network, which runs clinical trials for pioneering treatment giving over 20 million people access to potentially lifesaving treatment. Your generosity means Cure Leukaemia can help the prospects of blood cancer patients by funding more nurses and running more clinical trials.

Please support me as I take on this challenge by making a donation to this cause

Thanks

Lee

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
