Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello. so at the age of 40 I was diagnosed as being Type II diabetic which came as a huge shock and really knocked me off my feet, but then i started to run and found that i really enjoyed it, my favourite is to go trail running as i enjoy the peace and being in naturre.
About 18 months ago i had an accident and broke some ribs which put me out of action for quite a while and all my good work started to become undone, now i am back on track and determined to push my diabetes back into remission and running is a big part of this.
I decided to give myself a goal to aim for which is running this marathon which is now 6 months and 2 days away or 185 days in which to train my mind and my body.
I am running the Brighton Marathon for Diabetes UK to prove that being Type II doesn't have to limit what you can do and by training for this i want to start to push my condition back into remission.
So please donate as it is for a fantastic cause trying to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for this much maligned disease.
Thank you
