Story
I signed up to get in the ring and box for charity to raise money for a good cause and get fit. I was motivated by the desire to do something positive and help others while also improving my own health and fitness.
However, everything changed when the mother of my two children, Camilla Hanmer, was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer just one week after he started training for the event. This news put everything into a different perspective and made my original reasons for signing up seem insignificant in comparison.
Now, I am more determined than ever to use my platform to raise awareness and raise vital funds for cancer research UK. I have shifted my focus from simply getting fit and raising money for a good cause to a more personal and urgent cause - fighting cancer.
I will now use my experience in the boxing event to bring attention to the importance of cancer research and to encourage others to support the cause. I am raising funds for the charity cancer research UK. I hope that my efforts will help to support vital research into finding a cure for cancer and improving the lives of those affected by this disease.
, my original reasons for signing up to get in the ring and box for charity may have changed, but my motivation and determination to make a difference remain strong. By using my platform to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, hopefully showing that even in the face of adversity, we can all make a positive impact on the world around us.
