Well running isn't really my forte, however with the intention to get fit and never shying away from a challenge I thought I'd give this a shot with the hope of raising some funds for a much needed cause.

I joined the Barlow charity some 12 months ago to help in the ongoing development of the charity which provides community facilities and events for the village of Edgworth and surrounding areas.

Built in 1909 with the promise of providing wellbeing for the residents of Edgworth, facilities like no other for its time ranged from; billiards room, library, boating lake, outside swimming pool, reading room a recreational ground and coffee shop. As the years have past and some of the above facilities still available the building still stands but unfortunately is in urgent need of repair.

I want to join the effort in raising much needed funds to rebuild /'repair the roof (all 5 of them) this will ensure the ongoing developments of the charity can take place and the building is secured for another generation to provide much needed wellbeing and recreational community groups & events.

And.......

Well I'll keep fit in the process, so a pound, five, twenty or even more will go a long way towards achieving the above.
