Hi, My name is Lee and i am doing my first great north run. I wish to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity in memory of my grandad who past away last year after suffering with the condition for many years. My aim is to raise awareness for others.

Those that know me will know this is a big challenge for me and for those that don't, well to make a long story short, i struggled with my weight for many years until i decieded to do something about it and now, although i still consider myself overweight, after losing 6 stone i wish to do something i used to only dream of doing, competing in the great north run.

(Please also note I wish to aim for a decent time and i am taking this very serious and training hard)
