Story

Thanks for coming to my page.

I’ve chosen to fundraise for Bliss because I want to make a real difference to the 95,000 babies born premature or sick every year. Every donation that’s made to this page brings Bliss closer to ensuring that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life. Bliss does that by supporting parents to care for their babies, campaigning for better neonatal care and enabling life-changing research.

Evie was born extremely premature at 27+1 weeks and due to her size was given a very slim chance of survival. Evie was born weighing less than 1lb at 430grams which is the smallest surviving baby the L&D has delivered and is one of the smallest babies on record being in the 1st percentile. Evie spent 3months in total and from the moment she was born to the present day I can not fault the care she received from all the specially trained consultants, Doctors and nurses! We are still in contact with them and take Evie in to visit where she is made a big fuss off!

I wanted to do something that will be a challenge, the marathon is something I have always thought about doing but due to playing football and the injuries I pick up was never a realistic target. I am not playing this season and with the motivation of running for Evie it is something I want to do.

Thank you in advance for any donation. It means a lot.
