2018 Barcelona Marathon · 11 March 2018 ·
I first met Michael at the age of 11 at Barr Beacon School, where we were in most of the same classes through to sixth form. A good friend who would do anything for anyone, after deciding to do the Barcelona Marathon, it was only right to raise money for charity and what better than for a friend and a very worthwhile charity.
The foundation was set up in memory of Michael who died age 20, his positive attitude towards life inspired many people and it was this drive that encouraged us to raise awareness and valuable funds to support people with type 1 diabetes. The ultimate goal is to find a cure but while the search goes on we will support educate and look to fund the technology advancements that can provide a better quality of life to all diabetics.Michael was type 1 diabetic since the age of 4 and died to a relatively rare complication DIB, #livelikemike
