IRONMAN MAJORCA 70.3 · 11 May 2013
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Well from watching our kid in the 2011 Majorca 70.3 I got the bug for triathlon. Junior had gone to university and I fancied a new challenge after a 30 year career in amater football.10 seasons coaching kexborough was fantastic but they all grew up.
Swimming has been the biggest challange and i still have a long way to go. I managed an olympic distance at our club last year but the swim was tough!
A big thanks to all the coaches and members at team manvers in particular Paul Bennington, Dave Camm, George Williams, Les Orange and Andy Coldwell. I would not have progressed without their support and inspiration.
Also my best mate eggy who's my been my running partner. The long thursday night sessions with the dogs have brought me on no end. And my Bike Buddy Mike H who's skinny and quicker up the hills!
My expert nutricionist and kit manager Carol has also kept me in top condition and looking the part. Thanks x
I am training 10 to 11 hrs a week now and its hard work! but if I cross the line under 7hrs in majorca it will be a fantastic achievement for me and I hope you can support my chosen chariity as a result.
