Stirling Scottish Marathon 2018 · 29 April 2018 ·

We are Stirlingshire’s independent advice charity. Our 70 experienced volunteers and specialist staff offer expert, free and impartial services for a wide range of problems including food and fuel poverty, housing, domestic abuse, and employment issues. Last year we managed to generate £1.5million for people and provided 75% of referrals to local foodbanks. We help over 500 people each month with a range of issues, but none of this would be possible without the donations and support of our community.

Story

So, I'm running the Stirling marathon again this year and actually going to train this time.

Although this time I am not just doing it for myself.  I will be running for the Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau who are at risk of having to close the doors for the first time since 1939.

Stirling CAB offer an invaluable service to many people who have no idea of there rights whether that be about benefits, a dodgy landlord or you need help with feeding your family .  Not enough credit is given to the selfless work these guys do day in and day out.  I will always be grateful for the help they have provided for myself and my family.

My target is £300 but the total amount needed is closer to £50,000.

No pressure then eh.

Thanks in advance.
