Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page which is all about raising funds for  SAMSON, a charity that helps people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis is the most common neurological condition amongst young adults today. It is lifelong, it is debilitating and there is currently no known cure.

The Samson Centre for MS was founded in 1992 by John Hambly  and a loyal team of trustees and supporters. John had been recently diagnosed with MS and wanted to create a place where people could get the specialist support they needed locally.

The Samson Centre  enables people living with multiple sclerosis to remain as active as possible by providing the physiotherapy, exercise and oxygen therapy they need in a supportive and welcoming environment. Samson  values are self help, being a responsible member of our local community, helping others whenever possible and embracing technology.

The Samson Centre is funded entirely by voluntary donations.

Our aim is to complete the tow path of the Leeds / Liverpool canal (130 miles) cycling over 2 days in September. The team at Samson has worked a miracle, over the years, to build and run a state of the art treatment facility  from nothing Now, more than ever, they need our help, so please give your support
