Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Leeds Mind enables individuals with mental health problems to flourish.

At any given time Leeds Mind supports 900 individuals accessing the services we deliver, has 140 volunteers helping in all forms of roles and has 60 paid staff helping to run the services.

Like any charity we rely on donations to help us enhance and develop our work.

We rely heavily on volunteers who play a massive role in the services we run. All our volunteers receive training, support and expenses. This process costs money – we rely on donations to enable this to work effectively.

Therefore any money raised from this run will go to helping our running (no pun intended) costs for our volunteers.

12 of Leeds Mind staff and volunteers started training in March, some were runners already, some starting from scratch - there has been blood, sweat, tears and tantrums. We have run up hill,  run down hill, on the road,  and through the mud (even when trainers had just been cleaned!), It has been fantastic to see the progress of those that had not run before clocking up the miles week by week and rain sodden slog by rain sodden slog. We can all confirm the positive effect that running/exercise can have on your mental health even if we didn't all believe it to begin with!

Thank you for your financial support
