Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 1 million people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. Having lived the experience with my mam and hearing of so many others impacted this charity is very close to my heart. To have my employer have Alzheimer's Society as their Charity of the year is great and given me the refreshed focus to continue helping where ever I can. The charity depends on volunteers and donations as well as the experience of those impacted to learn and better support families who have to go through this difficult journey. Any donations will be great appreciated and put to good use in the fight to improve the lives of those on this journey either now or in the future. Oh my employer will also match fund us to raise even more funds.
