LORD MAYOR OF LEEDS 2025 - 2026 COUNCILLOR DAN COHEN Raising funds to support Leeds Mencap who are a local, independent charity supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and other additional needs to feel valued, supported and equipped to thrive.

Story

On Thursday 28th September, companies in Leeds will take part in a giant version of the kids' party favourite, Pass the Parcel, to help raise vital cash for a local children's charity.

Leeds Pass the Parcel will be run by graduates from Leeds City Council and is just one of a series of events taking place to support the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal throughout September. Every penny raised though the events, which fall in Children's Cancer Awareness Month, will go to the Lord Mayor of Leeds' chosen charity for this year Candlelighters, a Leeds based organisation that supports families throughout all regions of Yorkshire facing childhood cancer.
