Story

Chernobyl Children’s Project is a charity that supports children and families in Belarus, the country most affected by the Chernobyl disaster 25 years ago this year.

We give children from Chernobyl a month’s break from their highly radioactive, polluted environment.

Families and couples provide a home for two children for two weeks in late July / mid August. The idea is to give the children a fun time with lots of fresh air, healthy food and love. The holidays give the children a massive boost to their immune systems and its a privelege to be involved.

It costs £450 to bring each child to the UK and the Leeds and Rotherham groups are bring ten over this summer, so we need to raise £4,500.
