Cycle From Leeds To Hemel Hempstead · 25 June 2021

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

This time last year we were some rugby lads with an absolutely stupid idea of cycling due to the lockdown. Pulling away on our mountain bikes with no knowledge of what bikes to ride, how to change gears and the rules of the roads. Adamant we would never go to the dark side of riding a road bike wearing lycra that’s for sure. We smashed a 6 mile ride thinking we were the Bradley Wiggins of Hemel Hempstead. One year on and we’re wearing Lycra 🤦🏼‍♂️ Accomplishing a 100 mile charity ride for Dementia Uk, riding from Birmingham to Hemel Hempstead raising £6500.

Giving it the big one again, we’ve stupidly set ourselves a new challenge. To ride from Headingly stadium home of Leeds Rhinos rugby league team to Hemel Stags rugby league ground. 210 miles in 2 days on the 25th June 2021. This will be for Motor Neurone disease association this year. On behalf of the legend Rob Burrows who was diagnosed with the terrible illness last year. Today was the start of our training journey. Some say we’re crazy, we call it a challenge.
