Story
For the past six years Martin Hywood has been making our lives miserable with one ridiculous challenge after another. Safely locked down, we thought we were free to sit in the garden eating crisps and drinking beer. Sadly, it wasn’t to be. With the majority of their fundraising events cancelled, Muscular Dystrophy UK needs your money more than ever so it can continue to support people with muscle-wasting conditions.
On Sunday 26th April, a team of Leeds fans, ex-players and media folk will be climbing Mount Snowdon on our stairs for the 2.6 challenge in place of the London Marathon. 4,610 is the number of steps required to reach the summit, so we'll be taking those steps using only the stairs in our homes.
Those taking part include:
Simon Grayson
Ian Harte
Danny Mills
Simon Rix
Bryn Law
Jack Calvert
Jon Howe
Rob Holmes
Michael Normanton
Jack Johnson
Mark Billings
Gary Devonport
Ruth Saxton
Jo-Anne Entwistle
Graham Hyde
Martin Bowe
Kim Bowe
Marvin Atkinson
Maz Ferguson
Phil Hay
James Rowlands
Adam Etherington
Mark Stephenson

Six years ago Martin Hywood launched the 'Move a Mile for Muscles'
campaign with Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK), and has since become a very proud ambassador for the movement. He told his story of diagnosis and about living with the condition and that spread like wildfire on social media.
In 2012 Martin walked one solitary mile and raised £1000 for MDUK.
Since then he has gained a huge team of support, produced a star-studded promotional film called 'Muscles Matter', taken part in many fundraising events and has now raised over £150,000 for vital world class research.
Our team is a group of selfless people willing to go above and beyond
for others, the nicest people you'll ever meet too!
