Story
I am taking on the challenge of tired muscles and a very sore bum atop my bike. I am riding the inaugural RideLondon100 challenge. 100 miles through the centre of London out to the Surrey Hills and back to London along with Olympic Road Race route - with about 50,000 other riders!
I am doing all of this for a fantastic charity that many of you may not be aware of what they do. Anthony Nolan provides a register of donors for blood transplants that are used to treat people suffering with blood cancers: Lymphoma, Leukaemia & Myeloma.
They need money to recruit donors, find matches and conduct research to make transplants more successful. Sponsor me and you will be helping to save the lives of people with these deadly cancers.
Because not enough people are on the register it is often incredibly hard to find a match. My partner, Sarah, was in this situation and because of the delays in finding a match, the Lymphoma came back before she could be safely treated. Please donate now and support this vital work.
Even if you don't want to part with your cash, then please sign up to become a donor. It's so simple; fill out a quick questionnaire and then spit in a little pot that AN will send you. That's it - you're a potential match for someone who desperately needs your help. See www.anthonynolan.org for more details on how to register.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
