Like most people who are active on social media, on 2nd Sept 2015 I saw the horrifying images of a dead boy washed up on a Turkish beach. It was also the date of my eldest son's 5th birthday, making the pictures even more saddening.

Surrounded by gifts, cards and family I decided that I cannot simply sit around and do nothing about the plight of refugees across the world. So I am cycling from Leek to London on Sunday 28th August 2016.
