C H E C K Y O U R T I T S 🍉

In September last year I found a lump on my boob. Not wanting to put it off I went to the Drs to get it checked, thinking it would be nothing and I’d get sent away like when I’ve found lumps and bumps in the past. However, this time was a bit different. The Dr, although positive, was concerned that it was a definitive lump and said it would need further investigation to check it wasn’t anything more sinister than a cyst aka Breast Cancer. 🫣

Obviously, hearing this made me poop my pants 💩 and the weeks leading up to my hospital consultation felt like 2 years. 🙈 but then the day came. I think everyone and their dog has seen and felt my knockers in that hospital ; one lady even got to take a few chunks out of one too. 

Luckily I had the wonderful news that the lump was benign and I know I’m sooo VERY fortunate for the amazing Drs, Consultants and Nurses I saw (who had to deal with a very anxious & dramatic Leesh) and the NHS in general for getting me seen so quickly. 🙏🏻 👍🏻

Things like this don’t get spoken about often enough especially for people my age. But, hopefully me talking about this as scary as this experience was will encourage you guys to have a cheeky feel of your melons too, or at least make the process of investigating those lumps a little easier. 🍉

For anyone fighting a battle against cancer, or any battle, I have sooooo much appreciation and respect for you. Your strength and bravery is phenomenal and you’re frankly superheroes in my eyes. 💗 💫
