Although 4 million people in the UK (6% of population) suffer from autoimmune disorders, there is very little in the way of collective research into the cause of autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases are often viewed as stand-alone conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Type 1 diabetes or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Between us, Liz and I have 6 autoimmune disorders; yes, you get one and the chances are you get another! We need to bring together the individual research that's being carried out into the diseases in order to gain a better understanding and hopefully a cure. 

This half marathon is just our small attempt to help to fund the research. It's a small attempt but trust me a massive slog for me....not Liz🤣
