Over 12000 new cases of Head and Neck Cancers are diagnosed every year in the UK, They include cancer of the throat, mouth / jaw, voice box, food pipe, thyroid & salivary glands. Many patients with Head & Neck Cancer are likely to present with a neck lump. They need further tests including Ultrasound scanning, to exclude cancer & obtain a sample from the lump. We run a One Stop Neck Lump clinic in the ENT Outpatients at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Patients are seen by the ENT team & if necessary undergo Ultrasound & Needle test at the same visit. We would like to expand this service & having a dedicated Ultrasound scanner in this clinic will allow us to extend this service & help early diagnosis of Head & Neck Cancers

Andrew was a Consultant Maxillo Facial Head & Neck Surgeon in the East Midlands for over 25 years. He dedicated his life to the care of patients with Head & Neck Cancer & has touched the life of many
