Story

Tracey was my Sister. She was a strong and determined women with a husband and young son that were her world. In 2017 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She took everything the doctors offered in the hope of a recovery. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy. The tumour, however, got the better of her and after 18 months she passed away peacefully surrounded by her close family.

I miss the phone calls with Tracey and our chats about nothing in particular. I am super proud of how her husband and son are coping. One day we will have a cure for cancer and no one will have to go through what my family has gone through again. Please help us get to that day a little sooner. I am running the London Marathon in her memory and am raising money for 'The Brain Tumour charity'. They support research into the disease and also help support those undergoing treatment today.

In 2019, 94 runners united to complete the world-famous Virgin Money London Marathon course, raising over £304,000 to date. 2020 will see the 40th edition of the event take place, and I will be running the famous 26.2 miles for The Brain Tumour Charity. The Brain Tumour Charity is the worlds leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really cant wait.
