Walk 5km every Sunday for 50k · 3 February 2022

92-Year-Old Cyril McFeeley walks his age to raise funds for the Diabetes Centre at Crumlin Children's Hospital.

Story

I am taking part in the Walk for Children's Diabetes event. Our daughter Sophie Brennan was diagnosed with type1 diabetes when she was 2 years old and has received fantastic care from the amazing Diabetes team at Crumlin for the last 5 years for this very challenging condition and will continue to be under their care until she moves on to adult services. Sophie, her brother Jake and I have decided to do a 5km walk every Sunday until we reach 50km. We would really appreciate if you could give anything you can to help us to raise funds. All funds raised this year will support the Diabetes Center in CHI at Crumlin and will help fund the cost of many projects, such as; a Fulltime Diabetes Nurse Specialist , a Data manager , vital medical equipment for the centre, Summer Camps for both patients and their families , a Porta cabin , many Educational seminars for parents of newly diagnosed children and so much more.
