Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I will be taking part in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon on May 28th September to help raise funds for Kensal Rise Library. i have lived locally all my life and currently work at Daniels Estate Agents in Kensal Rise and realise how valuable the library is to our local community.

Kensal Rise Library depends on donations and volunteers - it receives no regular support from the Council, since they closed it. This much-loved community library's catchment area has pockets of deprivation and over-crowded housing. It offers much-needed free computer use and study space, as well as book loans, classes and excellent events.

If you know me then you know I am not afraid of a challenge! Please donate if you can and I look forward to seeing you at the finish line!

Best wishes,

Leigh

About the charity

Kensal Rise Library: uniquely opened by Mark Twain in 1900, closed by Brent Council in 2011 and reopened - after a long struggle - by the community in 2019. The library receives no regular council funding. It depends on volunteers and donations. It costs £100 a day to keep open. Please help us.
