We are both taking on the new challenge in 2022, trekking across 3 countries in 3 days, circling the highest peak in Western Europe. This challenge is going to be physically demanding, testing stamina and determination - all to raise money for the Salisbury Hospice.

"My name is Sam Lloyd and this is my story on how the Salisbury Hospice helped my family. I was not really aware of the work that Salisbury Hospice Charity do until my Grandmother was diagnosed with an illness 18 months ago.

With the help of the Hospice home team, we were able to look after her at home for as long as possible, this was so comforting for her, as it meant that she could be in her own home with everyone around her. 

When it became necessary she was transferred to the Salisbury Hospice. The expert support and care that she recived was so personal and comforting for her, but also for the whole of my family. The staff were truly dedicated and amazing, we will always be so grateful to them."

"My name is Leighana Atkinson and this is my story how the Salisbury Hospice helped my family. 10 years ago, my nan, Hazel, sadly lost her 18 year battle to cancer, in the hospice. As a child, the hospice was somewhere I wasn't scared to go, I knew my nan was being looked after, by lovely people, receiving the best care.

Now being older, I now, fully understand what a great place the Salisbury Hospice is. I know it means a lot to many people around, sadly finding themselves visiting, for friends or family members, last moments"

The Salisbury Hospice is partially funded by donations, both of our experiences have motivated us to help. Last year we were part of the Salisbury Hospice Midnight Walk, this year we are tackling the Mont Blanc Trek. 

We are looking to raise £4,000 together, by the end of our trip September 11th 2022. Every amount counts, we will be more than thankful.
