Hi! I'm Leila and I am 8 years old.

I recently watched a video made by Green Peace called 'Rang Tan in my bedroom' and it made me very sad.

 I really wanted to do something to help raise some money to save the Orangutan's lives and homes that are being destroyed because of deforestation. This means lots of trees are being cut down to harvest unsustainable 'palm oil' which goes into lots of our foods and also soaps. 

I have decided to take part in a 5k Parkrun that my Grandma does so I can help the Orangutans. My little brother Aiden and Mummy will be coming too to support me! I will be running as far as I can!
