The Running Club has been meeting on Leith Links three times a week this term, as we train for the Big Fun Run 5km race in Holyrood Park in October. The runners are giving up one lunch break per week to train, as well as meeting after school and even before school. We are focussing on increasing the distance we can run.

Some of us have been running for a while and some of us have just started.

We started off by running for 1 minute then walking for 90 seconds, twelve times. We have worked up to running for 15 minutes and walking for 1 minute, twice. We count the number of laps we run and Luke won the prize for the most laps clocked up in a fortnight - 72 and a half.
