Cycling Lands End to John o'Groats for Hettys · 24 August 2019
Firstly, thank you!
With so many charity events and good causes we're privileged you're reading about ours.
What's the story?
Hetty's supports people with advice and tools to cope with a family members addiction. I was the recipient of this help and, in order to give back, Phil and I are cycling a 950 miles* in order to raise whatever we can for them.
Who's doing it?
What: We're cycling "uphill" from Lands End (the extreme Southwestward point in mainland Britain) up to John O'Groats (very close to the most northerly point of mainland Britain).
We'll be paying for everything ourselves so any money raised will go directly to Hettys and if you're donating personally Hettys benefits with Gift Aid (Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor.)
Why: Good question. To raise money for a charity called Hettys who gave me, and others in my family, the tools to cope when I personally could not
When: 1st May start - 12 days cycling & 2 days getting there and back.
T H A N K Y O U :)
