Story
I am taking part in the September challenge which is to complete 300 cycle miles in the month for my Pops.
My “pops” John Burrows was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma cancer in March 2019.
Sadly he lost his battle on the 28th June 2019 at the young age of 64 years.
Throughout his life his strength has shone through. In 2016 he ran the great south run at a personal best raising over £800 pounds for cancer research. This was just 9 months after having part of his left lung removed with cancer
My pops spent many weeks on and off in the Florence nightingale hospice and received amazing care and support as did we from the fantastic staff that dedicate there lives to caring for those terminally ill patients.
We thank you and I hope to raise as much as I can towards those little extra touches provided at the Florence nightingale.
