Fundraising for the Alzheimer's society in memory of my mum Maryse Fattore

Tough Mudder London West 2019 · 4 May 2019 to 5 May 2019 ·
Hi everyone,
My name is Lenny Fattore, 32, French. I have been living in London for 4 years.
Two months ago, my mum passed away after a 8-year fight against Alzheimer. It has been a big trauma for me because I was really close to her. She was such a wonderful lady. My mum spent all her life to work in a community center to help the youths and the families in the need. She was very involved in her job but also with her family. She was full of love, very supportive, energetic, enthusiastic and she was always pushing us in everything we were doing. It really broke my hearth when in the end she couldn't eat, drink, talk or even see us. With my dad and my sister we had the chance to sit one last time next to her. She was holding our hand tight but the next day she was gone.
Now it is my turn to do something to help the others. I want to take a positive action in order to honor the memory of my mum but also because I want to contribute to help the research and all the families in the world who are suffering from this disease.
When I was a professional dancer my mum used to come to see my performances. She was super proud of me. Sports have always been a big part of my life. Today it is really helping me to move forward. I really want to be the best version of myself to fight this disease and to make my mum proud of me. Moreover I have read many articles about how a keto diet (a very low carb and sugar diet) can have a good impact on our brain, our memory and can improve the state of the people who are suffering from Alzheimer. I want then to do a one-month challenge where I will train hard respecting the keto diet to finish by the Tough Mudder race. The Tough Mudder race is a 10 miles race with 25 obstacles designed by special forces. I am going to train super hard and post many videos to show you how my challenge is going on.It is going to be a big challenge for me as I love carbs and sugar and I never pushed myself that much. It would be actually my first course ever.
It really worth the effort so please support me during my preparation and my challenge. Please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Many thanks to everyone of you,
Lenny
