Story
After almost a decade of saying I’m going to do it…
I have finally taken the plunge and will be taking part in the Great North Run Half Marathon (22km) on the 10th September with all donations raised going to Teenager Cancer Trust.
Why teenage cancer trust? Because every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. This is unfortunately news that so many experience and donations help fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout their treatment. This supports wards to allow teenagers and young adults to be treated with unique care and support, designed for and with young people.
Donations can also contribute towards events for young people with cancer to help them regain independence and meet other young people going through something similar.
Please share this page. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
Leo.
