Story

Just 6 weeks before the big day, I've signed up to run the London Marathon for Oxford Samaritans. I work as a doctor, and have been staggered by the desperation of those coming to me across A&E and primary care, worsened by covid and the cost of living crisis. At a time when charitable donations are going down, the services of the Samaritans are in greater need than ever.

I don't have long to train! Any donation you can give to motivate out into the cold will be most gratefully received. An amazingly generous donor has already covered any minimum fundraising criteria, so this is purely about raising money for an important cause (and not just funding my running habit). In that name, I will match the next £1000 raised, doubling any money you're generous enough to give during that period.

JustGiving never sell your details or send unwanted emails. All money donated is sent directly to the charity.
