Leo needs ya

If you're reading this you probably know me at least a bit. You may not know I've been coping / struggling / fighting with alzheimer's for most of my adult life. Whilst it directly affected and affects my mum - it of course has repercussions that are hard to keep up with let alone take the time to explain. I cant do that properly here. But, Spoilers - 1. It is REALLY HARD. 2. I want to use this page to raise real money, not just mild awareness.
Over the next 3 days I will be cycling 300km and over a mountain in Norway (www.worldatplay.org/bikeride). Whilst mum now finally has suitable care while I am away. So I wanna take the chance to raise some money.
I am on the board of a small charity, World at Play, who use sport and play to educate, empower and develop kids who have no access to these basic rights and the opportunities they provide. The board of volunteers organise this ride most years to fund our programmes in eastern europe, with middle eastern refugees and recently (proudly) in Uganda.
I love cycling, but 3 days in the solid rain, fixing bikes and if every ride so far is anything to go by, pushing one poor soul up the mountain - isnt a joyride. I do it every year to support our amazing fundraisers most of whom have never done anything like this.
So, please help me raise money for these two causes to give every opportunity to vulnerable people at either end of their lives - it would mean a lot to me, and the many millions directly and indirectly affected by issues beyond their control. You have to donate to each page - or pick one - but i want to raise a lot for each evenly, so try to balance out between you.
If you've got this far, I want to take the chance to thank every one of the friends, partners, family, colleagues, bosses, kind strangers, doctors and other services for every small and big thing over the years, and years to come.
Now cough up.
