Story
Two years ago my grandmother Dorothy Allan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, a degenrative disease of the brain where those affected are left with a number of behavioral and emotional problems. Dementia is usually a common symptom of this disease, leading to abruct changes in personality.
Fortunatley, my grandmother has responded well to the treatment made available to her, and as a result, has a better quality of life and is able to to live out her life in relative comfort. Nevertheless the disease will worsen with time, which is why it is imperative that attempts are made to research this disease further, and where possible, find means of preserving as much of the person for as long as possible.
Therefore i shall be participating in the Great North Run to raise money for Alzheimer's society, a chairty who specialise in researching this horrendous disease and caring for those affected by it.
Please donate anything you can to my cause. Thankyou very much for reading.
