Story

Hello hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. :)

On the 7th November I am running the New York Marathon to raise money for the amazing charity Race Against Dementia. Race Against Dementia was created by my grandfather, inspired by my grandmother’s current battle with Dementia. My grandmother, Lady Helen Stewart, is such a fabulous, hilarious and brave woman and it has been difficult watching Dementia take its toll on both her and those who love her.

I have become increasingly driven to contribute to finding a cure in any way I can and  this past year I began training for the New York Marathon. Preparing for this challenge has been a huge priority for me and has got me through the many lockdowns. This iconic marathon is an amazing opportunity to combine the hard work I have put into my training and my passion for helping my grandfather's foundation.

Race Against Dementia is dedicated to accelerating global research and development to find a breakthrough prevention or treatment for Dementia. You can find more information on the official website here

https://www.raceagainstdementia.com/

If you feel inclined please donate what you can or share my JustGiving link. Dementia effects so many families, so anything you can give is a step in the right direction to finding a cure.

Thank you so so much,

Love Leona xxx
