Story

I’m fundraising for Tenovus Cancer Care as they bring treatment, emotional support and practical advice to the heart of the community. They’ve helped thousands of cancer patients cope after a diagnosis, and given them hope for the future. But Tenovus Cancer Care needs our support today so that they can be there tomorrow. Your donation will mean that they can continue to support cancer patients and their loved ones, promote healthy lifestyles and fund cancer research to find new ways to prevent it, diagnose it, and treat it..

But also, on a very personal level, I am doing the trek in memory of two wonderful people; my beautiful grandparents Pam and John (Frederick) who are sadly no longer here. I am hoping to inspire other people to get fit and raise money for such a wonderful cause. Here's hoping my Nana and Grandad will be proud and maybe think I'm slightly mad! Training for the trek will keep me focused towards my goal of reaching the peak of the Lost City. But I will no doubt be thinking of them and other people affected by cancer along the way. This is everyone's fight. We will not be beaten.
