Land's End to John O'Groats 2014 · 1 June 2014

Medical Justice is a voluntary network of medics, lawyers, ex-detainees and others which challenges medical abuse in immigration detention and facilitates access to legal representation. Independent medics visit detainees and document their scars of torture and/or other medical conditions.

Story

This year I have decided to walk from Land's End to John O'Groats, a distance of just over 1200 miles in a target of 10 weeks.

I am raising money for Medical Justice, a charity which sends volunteer doctors to visit immigration detainees, to document evidence of torture and challenge poor medical treatment. Medical Justice has been instrumental in ensuring that detainees receive proper medical care and many of my clients have been released from detention thanks to its help.
