3 Peaks Challenge · 3 October 2023

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £8million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

To support Tennyson Insurance's 2023 Charity of the Year, St Wilfrid's Hospice, myself and a team from TI will be attempting to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours! The event is on the 3rd October and is part of the National 3 Peaks Challenge.

I am excited but slightly terrified at the prospect, as it involves walking 23 miles, with a total ascent of 3,064 metres (10,052ft). But it's for such an amazing cause, how could I say no!

St Wilfrid's Hospice care for and support those in our community who are in the last phase of their lives, both in the hospice and in their homes too. Many of our colleagues have benefited from their work and our goal is to raise as much money as we can to support them.

So, if you can spare a few pennies, please do donate today :-)
