Child of Hope is producing a huge social impact for children and their families in Eastern and Northern Uganda through free education, healthcare, clothing, food and welfare. Each donation goes to our work in the slums of Mbale and Karamoja and gets straight to work improving lives and communities.

Story

I heard about this charity from my friend Clare, who knows someone who is volunteering at this school. I wanted to help the children get a good education and a good start in life. Everyone deserves to go to school.  I am going to run a mile a day, until I have run a marathon to raise funds to support the Child of Hope.

Child of Hope makes huge social impact for slum children and their families from its schools in Eastern Uganda – by providing free education, healthcare, welfare, food and clothing to kids from the poorest and most vulnerable families. Even setting up mums in their own start-up business. It takes place in the Namatala slum near Mbale, where survivors from years of strife in the north struggle to make ends meet. Up to 30,000 live there, around half of which are school age. But poverty prevents most of them going to school.
