Lepra Fundraising is raising money for Lepra
Story
The Sixth Form have been working with International Charity, Lepra to explore the work being done right now to Beat Leprosy, a disease that it still destroying lives. Leprosy is a completely curable disease and Lepra works with communities in India, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe to support people to overcome this disease.
Students will be taking part in a Sponsored Dance Workout on Tuesday 26th April.
With the worldwide pandemic, Lepra's work on the ground is needed more than ever. Lepra have purchased a vital PCR machine in India for testing for Covid-19 . Alongside this they have helped reach households of people affected by leprosy with emergency food and hygiene packs, ensuring they can stay healthy. Crucially, their life-saving vaccination programme has been rolled out to people who need it most, 80% of whom are affected by leprosy.
