Buttermere Horseshoe Challenge · 21 September 2019
I have worked as a nurse for Hospice at Home West Cumbria since 2011. I feel very proud to work for such a great Charity.
During my years working for HHWC I have met so many amazing people. Patients, Relatives and Collegues. I feel it’s a absolute honour to care for someone during the last Months, Days, or hours of their life in their own home.
Although I mainly work alone I feel completely supported by the most wonderful team of people.
I have signed up to do this walk to raise money so the people of West Cumbria can continue to benefit from the End of Life Care provided by HHWC, Home Nursing, Emotional support, Complementary therapy and Lymphoedema Care.
I plan to keep you all posted as to how our training is going, hopefully we’ll get a few hills in before the Big Day!!
Garry has agreed to walk it with me along with Ruth Miller, Chris Haile, Susan Osmond and Debbie Nicholson. Please feel free to support them on this page too.
I Know it won’t be easy. With each struggling step I will be thinking of those who would love to be joining us in doing this beautiful walk but are no longer with us.
