Story
In April 2014 my husband Seth and I booked a three week tripof a lifetime to visit China, the Great Wall, the pandas at Chengdu and theTerracotta Army at Xian.
We were unable to make the trip, as Seth was diagnosedwith terminal pancreatic cancer in early May 2014 and by the 14th June ... just 33 days later he had died of the disease.
Seth didn't personally get to fulfil his lifelongambition of making a trip to China, so this year I am treking the Great Walltaking Seth's love, humour and spirit with me. I will fulfil Seth’s ambition bytaking his ashes with me and scattering them from the Great Wall in thecountry he so wanted to visit.
Seth was a kind, loving, considerate and an innately funny man;he was quiet and unassuming but hugely important to the people whose lives hewas part of and whose lives he touched.
Please remember this wonderful man by helping me raise £1000 for each year of Seth'slife and hit the target of £49,000.
Pancreatic Cancer survival rates have not changed in thelast 40 years, the 5 year survival rate is 4%, the 1 year survival rate is 19%,it is the 5th most common cancer killer and is the 10th most common cancer.Despite all of this the research into pancreatic cancer receives less than 1%of the total yearly cancer research spend.
Lets help change these statistics in memory of Seth and keep the "G" force going.
