Beacon Centre for the Blind was established over 145 years ago with a purpose of supporting people with sight loss to live fuller, more independent lives. Covering the Black Country & Staffordshire our activity centres host well-being activities & programmes, talking news & employment opportunities.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be spending 4 days in September 2011 trekking across the Pieniny mountain range in Poland to raise funds for Beacon Centre for the Blind. This is an extremely important local charity that provides help and assistance to over 3,000 people in the Black Country who are visually impaired.

The challenge includes me having to trek up 3 summits (which are all higher than Snowdon) and covering over 60 miles!

Why am I doing this - because I want to raise funds for Beacon and help to make a difference.

Please support me, and help me raise £1600 for people living with sight loss.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Beacon and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for Beacon.

So please dig deep and donate now.
