Just over 12 months' ago my Auntie Janet lost her brave fight against Ovarian Cancer. Just two years before she was diagnosed with what they call the silent killer. It is called the silent killer because by the time ladies notice thier symptoms, it usally too late as the cancer has already taken hold.

During that 2 years my Aunte Janet taught us the real meaning of the word brave. She kept fighting and most importantly kept her diginity, she never gave up and even towards the end she wouldn't let it beat her.

Now 12 months' on it is time to do something positive, Lisa (auntie Janet's Daughter), Sonia (our cousin) and my self have decided to put ourselves through a 26 mile trekathon in memory of our brave Mum and Auntie. On the day we will be using Auntie Janet's moto of being brave and never giving up!!
