I am giving up the Rioja this January as my way of helping raise money for the Multiple System Atrophy trust.  If you haven't heard of this disease before, that's kind of a blessing, as it means you haven't seen someone suffering with this drawn out death sentence.  Mum endured MSA for over 13 years, which was longer than the average (and far too long). By the end she could not speak, eat or move hardly at all and was in pain even though she still had her sense of humour (I could see it in her eyes xx). 

MSA is so difficult to diagnose, has no obvious cause, no life expectancy timeframe to work from and has definitely no cure.....as yet! If we can raise money to support them, the Trust can carry out more research at the same time as supporting those in need now. Maybe then sufferers can have these answers to make their time left more acceptable....Nobody should have to suffer this horrific disease.
