Since childhood, I have participated in the Lehigh Valley Great Strides Walk in the USA to fundraise for Cystic Fibrosis.  I started this to support my Best Friend Becky who had CF.  

Growing up with Becky, I never noticed much difference, just that she would need to do breathing treatments and take medications with all her meals.   On Becky's 13th Birthday, she proved her doctors wrong by surpassing her life expectancy.   Due to advances provided by research and fundraising, Becky lived to 26. 

This year will be a bit different after settling in Ireland.  I plan to continue to Honor Becky's memory by walking 6.5 km on April 12th for 65 Roses Day.
