Saving Lives Through Your Support.Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance brings an advanced critical care team to people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most. Highly skilled crews of Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots can be at the scene of an incident within minutes.It currently costs in excess of £15,000 a day to maintain our life saving service, and it is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

On the 23rd April 2023 i will be running the London Marathon in aid of The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, this is a charity very close to my family's heart. Living on an Island means this charity plays a vital role in supporting us in our time of need, helping us to access life saving treatment in time. They have been there to help three members of my family, my Mum, Auntie and Cousin. 

As many of you know, we sadly lost our Mum Linda Newton in March 2021. The Air Ambulance was there for her to offer vital support which enabled us to have some more precious time with her before she passed away.

After Mum died i took up running as this helped give me something to focus on. I have been running now, on and off, for over 12 months. Running has helped me get through a lot of difficult times in my life since then. 

I have always watched the London Marathon, but had never dreamt i would actually be awarded the opportunity to take part when i decided to enter the ballet last year. I have since learnt how difficult it is to get a place in the London Marathon and so feel very privileged and proud to be able to support a charity so close to my heart.

I am training very hard whilst raising my young children and running a business. I am running 4 days a week in all weather conditions, rain, wind and a lot of ice! and i am loving every minute of it! Each week i am increasing my distance. I have never run in any marathons i will be a complete newbie and very much out of my comfort zone but i am loving the challenge. If you see me out running please give me a beep beep as all the encouragement helps!
