It is my 60th birthday on the 26th of November and I had the idea of, instead of having a get together with family and friends, which you can't do anyway at the moment, that I would run and walk a route of the hills around the skyline of Arnside in the South Lakes. It is 32 , miles, taking in Hampsfell near Grange Over Sands, Lindale Hills, across to Whitbarrow Scar, Scout Scar near Kendal and back to Arnside, passing over Heversham Hill, Fairy Steps and finishing on Arnside Knott. And if anyone wants to give, instead of a birthday present or card they can give through this page to help the Bay Search and Rescue. 

The route is 32 miles long, and 60 Hills, Cairns or Towers.
